PREAMBLE – WHY

The spiritual practices and wisdom of India’s Sanatan Dharma are a major underlying force that have kept our civilization going, even as it has shown the capacity to include new cultures that have entered over the centuries.

This capacity of self-regeneration and self-animation of Mother India, is Her Bharata Shakti. It is also Her capacity for Unity in Diversity, urgently needed at this time; not just in India but as a model and service for the world.

This spiritual force is gathered and celebrated every four years with the Kumbh Mela. For social, religious and historical reasons, most traditions and lineages to date have been represented by male practitioners.

It is envisioned to now set up a Shakti Kumbh, a gathering of female spiritual practitioners, across the sub-continent’s many religious traditions who can uphold and revitalize the Feminine Principle within and together for regenerating, healing and leading our homes, our communities, our country, our world.

Thus the Shakti Kumbh will empower women to become real changemakers; and all genders to awaken to their innate Shakti thus serving to balance and boost India’s Soul Force and helping Her reach for Her Spiritual Destiny

WHAT, WHERE & WHEN

The first ever Shakti Kumbh: Ganga Avataram in Rishikesh on the holy banks of Ma Ganga from Feb 12 – Mar 5, 2023.
Theme: “Regenerative Renaissance of Mother India – Revitalising Bharata Shakti”

HOW

We are inviting 21 Spiritual Masters, Teachers, Leaders and Mystics representing the female lineages of *yogini-rishika-dakini-tantrika-srividya traditions of Bharatvarsha. In the spirit of ‘The Yoga of Collaboration’ we are also extending an invitation to practitioners of *Sanatan Dharma and those who are initiated and living the Indic traditions.

We are called to work together in the spirit of ‘The Yoga of Collaboration’ to serve Bharat Mata’s spiritual destiny of bringing World Peace through Inner Peace, Human Unity and World Union.

There will be Divine Feminine related or Shakti-based classes, courses, dikshas, performances of sacred music, dance, theatre and art.

We will actively participate in curated sessions and learn from each unique tradition.

Teachers will also bring along their students/followers, so we can amplify the Shakti field together! We hope to get a minimum of 108 participants at this first ShaktiKumbh, activating and harmonizing the full Spiritual Body of Mother India!

THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES OF THE SHAKTI KUMBH 2023

• Certified Integral Yogini Teachers to continue the lineages of yogini-rishika-dakini-tantrika-srividya or similar female spiritual traditions of Bharatvarsha
• Daily practice to awaken Shakti within; and specifically for Women’s Health
• Action plan to live consciously for inner peace which leads to peace in our little piece of the world
• Grow in consciousness to discover solutions for all challenges
• To live and lead as Shakti
• Foundation for bi-annual pop-up Integral Yogini Gurukulam that will travel across the country
• Foundation for a permanent home for Integral Yogini Gurukulam / ‘Wisdom’ Shakti Centre envisioned in the North of India (see annexure: Our Deeper Why)

• anyone aspiring to become a Yogini: an enlightened female being who helps others awaken
• experienced practicing teachers of any yoga lineage

WHY THIS IYTTC?

The Divine Feminine has been neglected for centuries. The time has come to revive the profound learnings and deep practices embedded in our civilizational ethos, rooted in Divine Feminine understanding which has been dormant for too long. Now, more than ever, it is of vital importance to establish balance by honoring and incorporating the day-to-day practices and rituals that awaken the Shakti within.

Let go of old beliefs and habits, the mental, emotional and psychological baggage that prevent you from living as Poorna Shakti. Experience the surge of creativity, of intuition, of inclusivity and the power of embracing your inner potential.

HOW ARE WE DOING THIS?

• by understanding the relevance of the Pancha koshas and the 7 chakras involved in the awakening of Shakti.
• creating a foundation for an entry into the auspicious wisdom path of SriVidya. This is an ancient and proven methodology for transformation and evolution of the individual into the cosmic consciousness-at the personal, societal and universal levels.
• by understanding the connection between the Moon and our biology and learning the practices such as the Chandra Namaskara, needed to honour our personal moon cycles and the rituals attached to it
• by practising A Thousand Suns Kriyas [ATSK], Pranayama & Mantra
• through Shakti Santhulan – general asanas and pranayam for women’s bodies. Specific practices for different stages of a woman’s life as Bala (child), Sundari (woman) and Bhairavi (wise crone). To help connect to and raise inner Shakti from Janma to Moksha
• Working with Ancestral Karma and Wisdom of Avatars & Rishikas
• Immersing in the potency of Kali, Kula and Tantra
• by learning how to live and lead as Shakti in all the roles that you play in your life through Shakti Leadership training

This will be achieved through different modes of immersion in the talks, classes and workshops ofexperienced masters, teachers and practitioners, storytelling, song and dance and participation in cultural activities specific to the feminine.

Students are supported before, during and after the IYTTC. Upon registration, you will be supported with a pre-practice in preparation for the Integral Yogini TTC; during the Shakti Kumbh we will create an Integral Yogini Kula [family] and there will be opportunities to support each other; and, after the Shakti Kumbh, there will be ongoing online programs and gatherings to support the Integral Yogini Kula

BENEFITS OF IYTTC

• You will be empowered with practices to activate each Kosha and experience integration and flow of your Shakti
• You will receive a Certificate of Learning which will enable you to lead your own ‘Integral Yogini 1-hr Class’ thereafter.

ABOUT THE CERTIFICATE

This is an enrichment course, and, in the original tradition of Guru-Shishyaparampara, such teachings and initiations are imparted in India’s “gurukulams” style.

Upon successful completion of the 21 day IYTTC course, a Certificate of Learning will be issued by Aurovalley Ashram (registered under the Government of India), jointly with co-conveners of the Shakti Kumbh: ParmarthNiketan Ashram, Auroville, Devipuram, A Thousand Suns Academy and Shakti Leadership, enabling you to lead your own 1-hr Integral Yogini class.

It is recommended that applicants already have their basic yoga TTC recognized by their home countries. And what they learn at the IYTTC will make them comfortable leading a class designed for women’s bodies and phases of life.

At this time we are not looking to be registered with the US-based Yoga Alliance.
This is an ‘in-principle’ choice to honor the source of the teachings, and not seek to be validated elsewhere.

WHAT DOES A DAY IN THE IYTTC LOOK LIKE?

You will be engaged from 6AM – 10PM with theory, practical work, discussions, exchanges, learning rituals and cultural activities of the day that includes the obeisance to Mother Ganga through the beautiful evening aarti.
